New Rumored Mercedes-Benz X-Class Models Could Challenge Mini Brand
Posted on June 21, 2013
Faraz Auto Sales, serving the Toronto area, has heard rumors before that Mercedes-Benz
would create a new family of Renault three- and four-cylinder diesel and gas
engines, and now we're hearing twitterings about what kind of models those engines
would power. It seems that, in the near future, the luxury brand could plan to
sell between 100 and 150-thousand units each year of a brand new lineup: the
Mercedes-Benz X-Class, which would be composed of a lineup
of subcompact vehicles and would challenge BMW's Mini brand.
The new vehicles will be built on a flexible
platform shared with the brand thanks to its partnership with Renault-Nissan. It
turns out that the smart brand's platform is not scalable, so the first car in
the new class could be based on the small Renault Captur crossover. Following
this vehicle, would be a Mercedes-Benz B-Class-based subcompact, which would be
based on the next-generation Nissan Micra and Renault Clio subcompact hatchback
models.
Since the efficient little vehicles won't debut for
a few years, the automaker has plenty of time to make sure that they will be
distinctly Mercedes-Benz and won't simply be rebadged versions of vehicles from
the other brands.
Do you like small, fuel-efficient vehicles, reader,
or are you more interested in standard-sized used
Mercedes-Benz vehicles? If it's the former, be sure to stay

latter, we can help with that too. Simply stop by our convenient 96 Signet Drive Toronto
