Performance
The base CLA has impressive acceleration, managing 0-100km/h in a nifty 6.5 seconds. However, the AMG model is working in a different dimension altogether, managing the feat in just 4.2 seconds, belying the car's status as a relatively affordable route into Mercedes ownership.
Both cars feature relatively stiff suspension to handle the acceleration capabilities, although the tuning was tweaked several times over the CLA's first generation lifetime, so the driving feel will vary depending on the exact used model tested.

The standard CLA has an impressive fuel economy rating for a car that pushes above 200 horsepower. In combined city / highway driving, the official figure of 8.8L / 100km is highly impressive, considering the grunt available at the press of the gas pedal.
Interior and Comfort
The CLA provides a typical Mercedes-Benz level of comfort, offering upscale materials and plenty of features without being overly flashy. The large 10.3" touchscreen is worthy of a brand-new car's tech level, while the dash is well laid out to provide clear information and easy operation of the car's many interior systems.
